From Caregiver to Founder

Why SimpliTend Exists
SimpliTend was born from lived experience. When my mother was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, my sister and I became her primary caregivers. Nursing homes weren’t an option—due to cost, cultural expectations, and her deep desire to stay with family.
Like many others, we faced constant worry: Was she safe? Had she taken her medication? Was she back from her walk—or caught in a scam call?
We built SimpliTend to bring calm and clarity to those moments of worry. Our mobile tools keep caregivers informed and connected while helping elders feel seen, supported, and secure. We believe aging at home should be possible until a valid health reason truly necessitates a move—and we stand by every family walking this journey.
You’re not alone—and with SimpliTend, your care circle is always within reach.

Our Philosophy
At SimpliTend, we believe caregiving should honor dignity, foster connection, and empower families to support aging loved ones with confidence.
Rooted in lived experience, our philosophy centers on simplifying routines while preserving autonomy—so elders can safely age at home, and caregivers feel truly seen, supported, and prepared.
We’re committed to designing inclusive tools that reflect the realities of caregiving with clarity, compassion, and respect.
